WELCOME TO
MY BLOG
I started Every Soul Has A Story® in 2017 to connect others through shared experiences. I write about the human journey--unconditional love, resilience, parenting, loss, hope, and the radiance that emerges from our breaking points.

BLOGSOMNIA
Blogsomnia. The frustrating, infuriating, persistent force that flips a switch in my brain. The one that’s supposed to be in the off position at 3 a.m.
A Belated Blog–Better Late Than Never!
It’s nearly 9 p.m. My brain is barely functioning. My entire being is swirling and soaring with unprocessed emotions. Honestly? I almost skipped this week’s post. But my 13-year-old daughter just reminded and encouraged me to write. She said, “Mommy. You have to! You made a promise to post every Sunday eve. Just do it now!” And just minutes ago, my extraordinary friend and internationally published author, Laura Duksta, reached out on Facebook. She said, “I came looking for your newest post and looks like you may be taking a break for the New Year…”
Izzy–My Healing Pup
I often ponder the contrasting moments of the human journey. A person lost a family member only months before a wedding. A hurricane dismantled and destroyed a city. Then its inhabitants repaired broken homes and hearts with communal kindness. A friend was in your life for only a short while but years later you realize why.
Great Auntie Irma–Who Invited You?
Palm trees are lurching and leaning as their strong, thick roots keep them alive. Debris is flying past my window and rain is slamming against the glass like torrential tears
Houston, Harvey and Heroes
I am in South Florida right now. I’m feeling inexplicably grateful for the scorching, sweltering September Sunday. That sounds kinda bizarre, right? We rarely go to the beach, which is evident by my pale skin. (My friends in college actually called me Snow White!). But today we headed east. My husband suggested we go to the boardwalk and stop at the organic market. And I am so glad he did.
Back-to-School Hangover!
Summer break is over. It’s as if it never happened. Like a car shifting gears, all parents (at least in South Florida) are revving up for the academic year. I hear constant comments such as, “Can you believe the kids are going back to school” and “Where does the time go?”
