WELCOME TO
MY BLOG
I started Every Soul Has A Story® in 2017 to connect others through shared experiences. I write about the human journey--unconditional love, resilience, parenting, loss, hope, and the radiance that emerges from our breaking points.

My Baking Wonderland
The shiny, stainless steel cup scoops white flurries from the paper bag. A few sparkly, sneaky granules dust the counter. My hand becomes a snow plow; I clean as the blizzard continues.
My Teen Worrier Became a Warrior
I parked crookedly in a tiny spot. We walked and chatted animatedly. Then Zoe opened the door, signed in, and took silly Snapchat photos to distract herself.
Gus: 2001-2018
I feel that human children choose their parents. And often fur-babies do as well! My best friend, Becky, spotted the sweet, soft kitten, and it was love at first sight.
The Present of Presence
The holiday season seems to start earlier each year. Am I imagining this or did you also hear jolly jingles in mid-October? Last week I wrote about the “Costco Coma and Target Trance.”
Retail Therapy and the Costco Coma
Do you ever enter a store with the focused, frugal intention of only purchasing one item? However, tantalizing BOGO signs coax you toward aisles that seem animated.
GIVING THANKS
I wrote about gratitude last week, which I will post again tomorrow. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, I hope you will pause to read about what being grateful truly means to me.
